This Shuttle Keeps Driving If You Keep Singing, to Promote Clean Energy

Between July 6 and 8, the Ruisrock festival-goers have been able to catch a ride on the Singalong Shuttle—an electric car that accepts payment strictly in the form of singing. The shuttle, which transports people back and forth from the Aurajoki riverbank to the festival, promotes the clean energy company Fortum and promises a musical experience in which “passengers can enjoy the music without background noise and carbon emissions.”

With Singalong Shuttle, “Fortum wants to highlight the ease and convenience of making a clean choice by driving an electric car,” according to the company. “Fortum’s Charge & Drive electric car charger network is the largest one in the Nordics with over 2,000 charging stations across the area.”

Fortum provides a range of services including electricity, heating and cooling, as well as solutions to improve resource efficiency. “With Singalong Shuttle we want to show people in a joyful way how comfortable and easy it is to drive an electric car,” said Jussi Mälkiä, brand manager at Fortum.
